The Alaska Aces were shutout by the Steelheads 4-0 Wednesday night in Idaho.  Net minder Tyler Beskorowany blanked the glacier blue crew by turning away all 19 shots he faced.   It is the first time this season that the Aces have finished a game without finding the back of the net at least once.

In defeat Alaska also gave up the lead in the Mountain Division of the Western conference, Idaho is now a point ahead of the Aces in the standings.

The team also suffered a personnel loss, Nate Thompson, one of four NHL players on the Aces roster, was knocked out of the contest in the first period with an upper body injury.  During a post game interview coach Rob Murray announced that Thompson was unlikely to return to action for the remainder of this road trip.

The Aces will play their next game in Utah against the Grizzlies Friday December 14th.
