The Alaska Aces matched their second-highest goal scoring output of the season on Wednesday, but it almost wasn't enough. Alaska received a pair of goals from Wes Goldie and the go-ahead strike by Dan Kissel in the third period in a 7-6 win over Bakersfield in the Aces first of 11 straight road contests.
Alaska scored three times in the opening period as Garry Nunn, Danny Markowitz, and Jordan Kremyr all scored as the Aces led 3-1 at the first intermission. The Aces never trailed, although the Condors managed to tie the game at five goals each with three unanswered tallies.
Bakersfield now has 11 one-goal regulation losses this season, while Alaska improves to an ECHL-best 31-6-5.
