The Alaska Aces announced a blast from the past on Wednesday, signing forward Matt Robinson for the upcoming season.  Robinson began his pro career with the Aces in 2006-07 and most recently played for the Wichita Thunder of the Central Hockey League, where he was a finalist for the league's MVP award last season.

With Alaska, Robinson tallied 40 goals and 31 assists in two seasons and also appeared in 23 playoff games.  As a rookie, he tied for third on the club in goals.

Robinson will also be one of the Aces four veteran players allowed under ECHL rules.  Defenseman Steve Ward will be another veteran.  Alaska can sign up to two more players with at least 260 games of pro experience.
