The Alaska Aces went three for five on the power play and tallied five unanswered goals to knock off the Utah Grizzlies, 5-4 on Friday night. Nick Mazzolini led the Aces with his team-leading 16th and 17th goals of the season, while Garry Nunn notched a goal and two assists and Joey Crabb tallied three assists.
Alaska improves to 19-8-0 overall. The scoring almost wasn't enough as Utah mounted a comeback from 5-1 down in the second period to make things close in the third period. Gerald Coleman made 13 of his 35 saves in the final 20 minutes to preserve the win.
