ANCHORAGE, Alaska —
Allen Moore of Two Rivers, Alaska claimed victory in the Copper Basin 300 Sled Dog Race for the fourth time in his career on Monday, crossing the finish line in Glennallen at 11:22am. Moore came across 25 minutes ahead of second place finisher Gerry Willomitzer. Jake Berkowitz was third, six minutes after Willomitzer.
Moore's other Copper Basin 300 titles came in 2005, '07, and '08. He was also runner-up in the 2010 race and took second place in the 2012 Yukon Quest. Moore takes home $6,000 for his efforts.
