Corey Cogdell will represent the US at the 2012 Olympics games in London.

The trap shooter from Eagle River, Alaska was steady and accurate during the final day of the trials hitting 23 targets in the first round, 24 targets in the second round, and 21 targets in the finals to win by 10 shots.

This will be Cogdell's second trip to the summer games. She won the Bronze medal in trap shooting in 2008 in Beijing.

"It is an absolutely amazing feeling," Cogdell said after the trials. "I've been working really hard not just the last couple months, but the last four years to make this team and it feels absolutely incredible to know I'm going back to my second Olympics."

With the experience of one Olympics already under her belt, along with the effort she has put in over the past four years, Cogdell will go to London with a different frame of mind than the one she brought to Bejing.

"Instead of viewing myself as the up and comer, I view myself as one of the best female trap shooters in the world and being able to go back to the Olympics with that in mind is really going to help me" said Cogdell.

The Women's Trap Shooting event begins Saturday, August 4th in London.
