Hydaburg's Damen Bell-Holter pulled down a game-high 13 rebounds in his return to Alaska as Oral Roberts defeated Loyola Marymount, 75-66 in Thanksgiving day action at the Great Alaska Shootout. The Lions had no answer for the Golden Eagles' Warren Niles, who scored 33 in the victory.
Bell-Holter also scored 8 points for Oral Roberts, which improves to 3-1 overall.
Oral Roberts shot 52 percent as a team and sank 7 of 13 three-pointers. Loyola Marymount was led by Anthony Ireland's 31 points.
In the late semifinal, Charlotte scored the final 11 points to beat Texas State, 73-64. Pierria Henry recorded a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds. The game featured 7 ties and 17 lead changes.
Chris Braswell added 18 points and 8 rebounds for the 49ers, who move to 4-0 overall. The Bobcats were led by 15 points from guard Wesley Davis.
