For the second time, a charity exhibition game featuring NBA champion Mario Chalmers and other professional players at Sullivan Arena has been canceled.
Game organizers threw in the towel on Tuesday after receiving too few commitments from players to realistically host a game in Anchorage, as was planned, on Friday, August 3rd.
Alaskan basketball fans have seen this movie before.
Back in December of 2011, Chalmers, a 2005 graduate of Bartlett High School, and several of his friends in the NBA arranged for a similar game to be held at Sullivan Arena during the league's labor dispute.
The plug was pulled on that game once the NBA lockout was lifted.
