New Mexico State dominated from start to finish in Thursday's Great Alaska Shootout quarterfinal, downing Central Michigan, 78-49 to reach Friday's semifinals. 

Bandja Sy led three Aggies in double figures with 15 points, while the Chippewas could only manage 18 points for the entire first half.

New Mexico State advances to face Southern Mississippi, a 78-67 winner over UC Irvine in Thursday's late semifinal. 

Semifinal action on Friday begins with San Francisco battling Murray State at 5:30.  UAA faces Dartmouth in the first game of the day at noon.
