ANCHORAGE, Alaska —
Former Palmer High School football standout Junior Aumavae has gotten his foot in the door with the NFL again. Aumavae, a 6'2", 310 pound defensive tackle, has signed a contract with the New York Jets. The team did not disclose details of the transaction.
Aumavae's most recent NFL experience came last year when signed with the Dallas Cowboys as a free agent, but was released prior to the start of training camp. He has also played in various arena leagues, including a stint with the Fairbanks Grizzlies of the Indoor Football League.
