For the first time this season, the Palmer football team has risen to the number one position in the Alaska Sports Broadcasting Network large schools poll.  The 5 and 0 Moose, coming off a 41-14 win over Colony, are the third different school to be voted number one in the last three weeks.

Week six of the prep football season will feature a pair of top five matchups.  The number one Moose travel to third-ranked North Pole on Friday, while second-ranked South takes on number four Service on Saturday night in a rematch of the 2011 large schools state championship game, won by the Cougars, 37-23.
