The Anchorage Glacier Pilots scored three runs in both the second and sixth innings to rout the Anchorage Bucs, 9-2 in game two of the annual Mayor's Cup series between the city's two Alaska Baseball League franchises. The win gives the Pilots a 2-0 series lead and clinches a record sixth consecutive Mayor's Cup title.
Maxx Garrett homered in the Pilots' three-run second inning, while Matt Vinson clubbed an RBI triple in the fourth. Aaron Judge, Kavin Keyes, and Clay Cederquist added run-scoring singles in the sixth.
The Bucs struck back in the season and series finale with a 5-3 win, scoring all their runs in the fifth inning. Jake Valdez cranked a two-run homer for the Bucs, who ended the season by snapping a 10-game losing streak.
