Fourth-ranked Service High School took on East High at the Anchorage Football Stadium Friday night.The T-Birds were already down in the game 15-7 when a fumble on the exchange let the Cougars’ Paul Pedro pounce on the ball and take possession.
On the ensuing drive, 4th and 1 from the 3-yard line, Michael McCrae earned all three of these yards, putting Service up 22-7 at the half.
A third-quarter, 24-yard touchdown by quarterback J.J. Christy and receiver Allen Busey helped make Service 2 and 1 in conference play, with the final 36-21.
