The West High football team overcame the suspension of at least five players and 18 penalties on the field last week, so it's logical to keep the Eagles at No. 1 in the Alaska Sports Broadcasting Network poll.

West is the only 5-0 team in the large schools division following Saturday's 28-14 win over Eagle River.

Despite an apparent discipline issue, the Eagles have a smooth schedule the rest of the way; their remaining three opponents all have at least two conference losses.

Service remains No. 2 after a last-second win over Chugiak. The Mustangs plummet out of the rankings.

Railbelt-leading Colony has moved up to third, followed by 4-1 Juneau. No. 5-ranked Dimond faces rival South in Week 6.

Soldotna and Thunder Mountain stay at first and second in the small schools poll. The Stars step out of their league to face North Pole.

Eielson, Kenai and Homer complete the Top 5 for small schools.
