The Anchorage Bucs and Glacier Pilots split their annual fourth of July doubleheader.  The Pilots took their third straight win in the opener, 5-2, while the Bucs shut out the fly boys in game two, 4-0.

In Game One, Aaron Judge got the Pilots off to a good start with a two-run triple in the top of the first.  Tyler Linehan quickly got in trouble in the second inning, loading the bases with no one out.  But the freshman out of Fresno State struck out the side to keep the Bucs off the board.  Maxx Garrett stretched the Pilots lead to five on a two-run single in the third.

The Bucs avenged that loss in the second game, as Matt Sims and crew held the Pilots to three hits.  Landon Anderson broke open a scoreless tie with an RBI single in the fifth, and the Bucs added three more runs in the sixth.

The Bucs move to 7-6 in the ABL, and the Pilots are 5 and 13.

In Monday's only other league action, the Miners-Fire doubleheader was stopped due to rain in the third inning of game one.
