ANCHORAGE, Alaska —
Tom Ritchie of Anchorage led a contingent of 48 Alaskans with a time of 2 hours, 38 minutes, 39 seconds in Monday's Boston Marathon. The race featured more than 22 thousand runners. Ritchie's time placed him 68th among all men.
Coming in almost six minutes behind Ritchie was Matias Saari, also of Anchorage. They were the only two Alaskans to finish in less than three hours. Soldotna's Heather Gaines clocked a time of 3:28:45 to pace all Alaskan women.
