Entering the week holding the eighth and final position in the all-important west region rankings, the UAA men's basketball team knew it could ill afford a loss to Simon Fraser, the last place team in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference.  The Seawolves delivered, leading by as many as 18 in the first half of a 78-68 win.  Liam Gibcus netted 20 points while Jalen Little added 19 for the Seawolves, who are now 17-6 overall, and 10-5 in league play.

Earlier on Thursday, the UAA women cruised past St. Martin's, 76-58 for their fifth straight win.  Sasha King scored 16 points and dished out 9 assists, while Alysa Horn and Jordan Martin each tallied 13 as UAA clinched a spot in the upcoming GNAC tournament.  The Seawolves are 15-9 overall, 9-7 in conference with two regular season games to play.
