Even short four players due to suspensions, The 2nd ranked North Dakota Fighting Sioux proved too much for the UAA Seawolves in game one of the Alaska Goal Rush in Fairbanks. North Dakota shut out UAA, 5-0 in a non-league matchup between WCHA schools.
Mark MacMillan scored twice for the Fighting Sioux, who were playing their season opener. The Seawolves drop to 1-1-1 overall. Chris Kamal played the first two periods in net and came up with 25 saves on 29 shots. The Seawolves were outshot 33-21.
