Colton Lauwers scored 16 points and Kyle Fossman finished 4 for 4 from the field en route to an efficient 14 points as the UAA men's basketball team defeated the Shock of Washington Adventist, 71-58 on Thursday in the first of two matchups prior to the Great Alaska Shootout.
The Seawolves made 9 of 22 shots from three point range in the victory, and shot 47 percent as a team. UAA led 41-21 at halftime before moving to 3 and 0 on the young season.
