ANCHORAGE, Alaska —
UAA freshmen Blake Tatchell and Bobby Murphy scored goals 40 seconds apart in the final 3:11 of regulation to give the Seawolves a 3-3 tie against Minnesota State Mankato on Friday night. The tie breaks UAA's eight-game losing streak, a run that began against the Mavericks on December 7th. The Seawolves stand 1-12-4 in the WCHA.
Trailing 3-1 in the second period, things looked bleak for the Seawolves until Murphy buried his first collegiate goal. Blake Leask assisted on both late UAA tallies.
Hayden Trupp buried his second of the year for UAA, while Chris Kamal saved 19 shots.
