The UAA men's and women's track and field teams made program history Satuday, with a women's victory and men's 2nd place finish at the 2013 Great Northwest Athletic Conference Indoor Championships.

The women combined for 147 points over 2 days, well out of reach of second place Western Washington (117.5) and third place Seattle Pacific (99).

The meet's Most Outstanding Performer, Seawolf Micah Chelimo, led the way for the men who finished second with 134 pts, 18pts behind winner Western Washington.

UAA collected 8 individual and relay titles (3 women, 5 men), and Chelimo alone nabbed 3 individual titles.  Chelimo took 1st in the 3,000 meters, One Mile, and 5,000 meters.  For the women, Susan Tanui took the win in the 3K and 5,000 meters.

The Seawolves return to action when the qualified team members compete in the 2013 NCAA Div. II Indoor Track & Field Championships in Birmingham, Ala., on March 7-9.
