The University of Alaska Anchorage volleyball team became just the latest Vikings victim Thursday night down in Bellingham Washington dropping three straight games to 17th ranked Western Washington University 25-16, 25-22, 25-23.  The sweep keeps Vikings impressive home streak alive WWU has yet to lose a single game, let alone a match, to a GNAC opponent on their own floor. 

For the Seawolves freshman Katelynn Zanders was the top performing offensive player with nine kills.  Breanne Sytnyk, also a freshman,  carded eight kills and assisted on four blocks.  The loss drops the Seawolves to 14-7 overall, 9-7 in conference.  Saturday the green and gold will do a little international traveling with a game at Simon Fraser in Burnaby British Columbia to conclude their three game road trip.
