Facing a 3-1 second period deficit to the Cincinnati Cyclones, the Aces rallied to score the last four goals to capture game one of the Kelly Cup Finals, 5-3 on Friday night at Sullivan Arena.  Jordan Morrison scored twice, including the game winner with 11:15 remaining in the third period.

After Nick Mazzolini scored for the fifth straight game to make it 1-0 after the first period, Cincinnati showed why it won the Eastern Conference title, scoring three unanswered in a span of just over nine minutes in the second period.

Alaska wasn't done.  Morrison and Brett Findlay pulled the Aces even by the end of the period.  Findlay's third of the postseason came with only 46 seconds left in the frame.

Like Mazzolini, Turner Elson scored for the fifth straight contest.  His empty net goal sealed Alaska's victory in the final minute.

Also playing a pivotal role in the outcome was Gerald Coleman coming on in net after Olivier Roy was injured on the Cyclones' third goal.  Coleman stopped all 13 shots he faced.  Alaska outshot Cincinnati 42-28 for the game.   Game two of the Kelly Cup finals is Saturday night at Sullivan Arena.
