HARBOR SPRINGS — Michael Bellovich of Holland and Lisa Thompson of Petoskey were the overall male and female winners, respectively, Sunday in the Third Annual Little Traverse Triathlon.
Bellovich, 20, finished in 1 hour, 25 minutes, 48.7 seconds, while Thompson, 39, came in at 1:37:41.3. Thompson finished 19th overall in the event, which comprised a 600-meter swim in Little Traverse Bay, a 19.6-mile cycling course on M-119 along the Lake Michigan shoreline, and a 4-mile run, primarily on Beach Drive.
Bellovich edged Andrew Bowman, 39, of Harbor Springs, by less than nine seconds. Bowman finished in 1:25:57.3.
Arianne Whittaker, 32, of Traverse City was the second female to cross the finish line, coming in at 1:42:21.3. She was 31st overall.
