ANCHORAGE, Alaska—
The Alaska Aces defeat the Idaho Steelheads 2-1 in game 2 of their 3 game series at the Sullivan Arena.
In the opening frame, Aces' Dan Kissel found the back of the net, giving Alaska the 1 - 0 advantage.
After a scoreless second period, it was Alaska to strike again. Nick Mazzolini set up Matt Ambroz, giving Ambroz his first goal of his professional career.
The Steelheads were not ready to accept defeat, and answered with a power-play goal from Chad Klassen.
The Aces were able to hold off Idaho, even when they pulled the goalie.
Game 3, the series finale, takes place Saturday October 22, 7pm, at the Sullivan Arena.
