The Alaska Aces continue to benefit from the NHL lockout, signing local product Brandon Dubinsky to a professional tryout agreement. Dubinsky becomes the fourth locked out Anchorage native to join the Aces in some capacity during camp. Nate Thompson, Joey Crabb, and Scott Gomez have done the same in the last week.
Dubinsky had spent his entire NHL career with the New York Rangers until being traded to Columbus in the off-season. The 26 year old owns career totals of 81 goals and 132 assists in 393 career games.
Aces coach Rob Murray said he is still not yet sure whether Dubinsky will actually play for the Aces this season. Alaska plays its two exhibition games Monday and Tuesday, October 7th and 8th at Sullivan Arena against the Las Vegas Wranglers.
