Daniel Hardy, a 2007 graduate of West Anchorage High School, who was cut by the NFL's Tampa Bay Buccaneers but kept on the team's practice squad in 2011, has earned another shot at the NFL.

Hardy was recently signed by the Minnesota Vikings under a Reserve/Future Contract.  This type of signing is unique to practice squad players because players on active rosters cannot become free agents until March.

Hardy, a product of the University of Idaho, was drafted by the Buccaneers in the seventh round of the 2011 draft.  A Tight End, he then caught four passes for 80 yards during the preseason before being placed on the practice squad.
