Following his 83 save performance in a quadruple overtime series clincher, Idaho Steelheads goaltender Josh Robinson stayed hot, denying 47 Aces shots as the Steelheads captured game one of the ECHL's Western Conference Semifinals, 1-0 in overtime on Thursday night.

Gaelen Patterson scored the only goal of the contest, past Gerald Coleman 6:09 into sudden death.  Coleman saved 26 Idaho shots in the loss.

Game two of the best of seven series is Friday at Sullivan Arena,, at 7:15.

The loss was Alaska's first of the postseason following an opening round series sweep of the Las Vegas Wranglers, in which the Aces outscored the Wranglers, 16-5.

Robinson made sure Alaska's offense was kept silent.  He is now on a scoreless streak of 169 minutes and 42 seconds, almost 8 and a half periods.
