The Alaska Aces announced Thursday that defenseman Corey Syvret will return to the organization for his third season.
Syvret ended the 2013-14 regular season with 15 points and a +16 ratings in 28 ECHL games played. The defenseman recorded six assists during the Kelly Cup Playoffs and aided the Aces to their third ECHL championship title.
"Coming back to Alaska was an easy decision to make," said Syvret. "Reaching the ultimate goal of a championship is incredible and it makes you even hungrier to experience it again. I'm looking forward to a healthy season, returning to a place I love playing for, and a top notch fan base."
Syvret was originally selected by the Florida Panthers in the sixth round (181st overall) in the 2007 National Hockey League Entry Draft.
