The UAA Seawolf hockey team defeated UAF 3-1 Saturday night at the Carlson Center, but UAF would ultimately claim the Governor's Cup 2-1 in a shootout.

Seawolves were quick to strike in the first, a 2:37 even strength goal from Matt Bailey put UAA up 1-0.  Scott Allen would tally another at 14:09 to give UAA a 2-0 lead after the 1st period of play.

Garrick Perry cut the lead in half at 5:41 in the second, but Brett Cameron would answer at 15:57 to round out the 3-1 final.

UAA will travel north next week, to take on UAF in the first round of the WCHA playoffs.  According to the WCHA website, first game is Friday March 14th.
