The Wasilla hockey team, trailing two-time defending state champion Dimond 3-0 in the first period, came all the way back for a stirring come from behind effort to knock out the Lynx, 4-3 in Thursday's quarterfinal round of the ASAA 4A state tournament in Wasilla.

The Warriors comeback capped a tremendous day of action.

Wasilla advances to face West, which defeated West Valley, 3-2 in overtime.  Alex Bardsley netted the game winning goal for the Eagles, who trailed 2-0 in the third. 

On the other side of the bracket, Chugiak needed three overtimes to get past Soldotna, 2-1.  Sam Hanson scored for the Mustangs to win it in triple OT.

The Mustangs move on to play South, a 2-1 winner over Lathrop in the quarterfinals.   Jared Cruz netted the go-ahead goal for the Wolverines in the third.
