ANCHORAGE, Alaska -

The West Eagles won their seventh straight game, defeating Lathrop, 19-0 in the large school state football quarterfinals Friday night at Anchorage Football Stadium. The Cook Inlet Conference champion Eagles ran for over 300 yards as a team, with both Leroy Elliott and Lui Faamasino going over the century mark.

West advances to face the winner between South and Palmer in next weekend's large school semifinals.

Also on Friday, the Dimond Lynx collected their first postseason win since 2001 with a 38-17 drubbing of Railbelt Conference champion Colony. Jordan Tufaga ran for three touchdowns and the Lynx defense contributed a score as they led, 31-0 at halftime.

Dimond will take on either Chugiak or Service in the semifinals.

In the small schools classification, Nikiski avenged a 2012 state championship game loss to Eielson with a 38-20 semifinal win over the Ravens. The Bulldogs broke the game open in the second half after it was tied, 20-20 at the break.
