Leon Scott, Jr., has made a career out of helping high school girls basketball programs.
Now he gets to lead a team of his own.
South Bend Adams announced Friday that Scott is the school's new girls basketball coach. He takes over for Steve Scott, who left to take over Elkhart Memorial.
Leon Scott's 11 years of experience includes previous positions as the strength and conditioning coach at South Bend Washington and South Bend Riley, as well as coaching at South Bend Washington, LaSalle Academy and various AAU teams.
He is currently the Youth Athletic Development Specialist and a personal trainer at Memorial Hospital's Health and Lifestyle Center.
The Eagles finished 6-17 last year in their only season under Steve Scott, after going 1-41 the previous two years.
