( NASA/ JPL-Caltech / August 18, 2012 ) The NASA Mars orbiter Odyssey was responsible for sending the word back to JPL that Curiosity landed. As Curiosity spends two years collecting data on Mars, it is Odyssey that will transmit the data back to scientists at JPL in daily feeds. |
