The complex world of the South Dakota Legislature might be a little easier thanks to the state's bill tracker website.
Users can go to legis.state.sd.us/sessions/2013/index.aspxcq (trust us, typing that URL is the hardest part of this process) and search by bill numbers. Users will see the bill's milestone dates for hearings and votes and show how individual legislators voted. There are also links to listen to the bill's actual testimony and debate.
The site is intuitive and informational, things South Dakota government doesn't always excel at.
