I am a registered Independent and have been since 1980. I have been called conservative by liberals and a liberal by conservatives; yet, I am firmly positioned in the center. I have voted for Mitch McConnell and Jim Bunning as well as Wendell Ford. I vote for people not parties.
For the past four years, I have witnessed the dissolve of the Republican Party. What were once reasonable, understanding, responsible people are now radical, crazy, nation destroying individuals who will do anything and stop at nothing to remove an African-American from our White House.
What really sparks my anger are the lies and false witnessing they use.
Barack Obama is a born again, native-born American Christian. He was born in Hawaii in 1961 and baptized at the Trinity United Christian Church in Chicago in 1988. If you want my vote, it will be swayed over truth and loyal, fundamental issues. Not lies and degradation.
If you say we need a Christian in our White House, we already have one. And Mitt Romney is not a Christian, he is a Mormon. Strike 1.
You say we need a real American as our president. Obama is an American. Strike 2.
We need a man who cares about our nation. Obama ended the Iraq War and made sure bin Laden is no longer a problem, while saving our automobile industry. I won’t strike you on that but, it’s a foul ball.
If Republicans want moderate votes in November, they have to come up with a plan to create jobs and pay down the debt by raising taxes. That is the only way our debt has ever been paid down. I haven't seen a profound, clear plan from the right that would help our nation at all. So, don't look to obtain votes with lies and misleading ads about how undermining policies that help the poor and needy is what we need to do.
Read Proverbs 22:16. This will answer why you should beware of those who want to give more to the rich.
