Danville won two of five matches Saturday at Lexington in the Bryan Station Duals, its season-opening competition.
The Admirals edged University Heights 30-28 and defeated Scott County 42-24 after falling to Spencer County, Campbell County and Western Hills.
Seamus Sallee (182 pounds) won by pin in the win over University Heights, which was decided in part because two Admirals lost on technical fouls rather than pins, costing UHA two points.
Michael Kuchenbrod (126), Daniel Lannum (132), Carson Coulter (138) and Jeffrey Clark (170) pinned their opponents in the victory over Scott.
