Well, Bravo jumped right into the drama on this week's episode of "The Real Housewives of New York City."
For some reason Sonja thought it would be a good idea to invite Ramona to her business meeting with Heather and James, the logo designer.
The whole meeting was a disaster since Ramona kept interrupting and influencing Sonja on the design. Also, Ramona picked up her phone, causing the whole meeting to stop. However, Ramona thinks that the meeting isn't going well because Heather is intimidated that she is also a successful businesswoman. Okay, Ramona, keep telling yourself that.
Heather is disappointed with Ramona and says, "that meeting was a waste of our time and expertise."
Later, Ramona and Mario invite all the Housewives and their significant others (except Heather, of course) to a fancy dinner. Aviva awkwardly mentions that the restaurant they are eating at is where her and her ex husband, Harry got married. Does Bravo get paid every time someone mentions Harry? I don't understand the infatuation with the man.
Somehow the group begins talking about how LuAnn is part Native American. However, she prefers to talk about her rich ancestry with racial slurs and offensive stereotypes. Of course Carole is the only one who catches on to it and is offended by her political incorrectness.
Honestly, Carole, you are way too smart and professional to be hanging out with these ladies. If you haven't noticed this already, this should have been your first clue.
Mario then shows off his outrageously expensive Chateau Margaux and nonchalantly confronts Jacque about the wine tasting incident. LuAnn quickly gets and excuses herself to the bathroom (smart move, Countess).
I'm actually pretty impressed with Mario. He usually is in Ramona's shadow, but he actually stepped up and defended Ramona's honor. He asserts himself by saying to Jacque, "You are never going to pull that crap again."
Even more of a shocker is that Ramona didn't want Mario to say something in the first place. Are we sensing a change within Ramona? I don't want to jinx anything, but it seems like she really wants to move forward with LuAnn.
We finally get to see the famous Harry when Aviva takes her son, Harrison, to visit him at his office. Aviva says "he is really a nice guy, very charming, a lot to offer his son and apparently a lot to offer the ladies."
Aviva is becoming more and more of a mystery. I don't understand her comments on the strange men in her life. She is way too comfortable with her father being a sex addict and her husband making his rounds with the other "Housewives."
What's even more awkward is that Harry is working on a cartoon/video game with the lead character being a strange pig called "Poopy the Pig."
We then pop over to Sonja and LuAnn who have lunch, who, I'm sure without the influence from the producers, are talking about LuAnn's plans to have a baby with Jacque. Sonja reveals to LuAnn that she had a miscarriage during her 4th month of pregnancy and warns her that having a baby when you are older is tricky.
Although Sonja acts supportive towards LuAnn's decision to have a child with Jacque, she is worried that she hasn't thought the whole thing through and wants to make sure that she is doing it for the right reasons.
LuAnn continues her rounds with the ladies, going to a photo shoot for Heather's brand. Heather, however, has an ulterior motive and invited her partially as a safety net for another brand meeting with Sonja.
Heather and James sit down with Sonja and do a recap on what happened in their last meeting. Ultimately, Heather wants to find out if Sonja really wants to work with her or if she would rather find someone else who has a similar vision as her to work with.
Sonja doesn't take this well and thinks that Heather isn't acting like a proper businesswoman and isn't treating her like a client. Heather says that Sonja isn't her client, rather a friend helping out. As Heather keenly points out in an interview, "No, honey. In my world, clients pay."
Haven't you ladies ever heard of not mixing business with pleasure!? Especially with a new friendship.
