The Sun remembers: July 15-21

July 21, 2000: Jamal Lewis, the fifth player picked in the NFL draft, agrees to a six-year contract with the Ravens worth in excess of $35 million. "It's important for us as a team, and Jamal as a player, to get started on the right foot," Ravens coach Brian Billick says. The running back from Tennessee will ramble for 1,364 yards in the regular season and 102 more in Baltimore's Super Bowl victory over the New York Giants.
