Two men remained in the DuPage County jail today on charges they used BB guns to rob a pizza delivery person, authorities said.
Tavarius Smith, 24, of Addison and Shaun Frye, 18, of Bloomingdale each face one count of aggravated robbery following their arrests this week by Addison police.
The men reportedly placed an order for a pizza and then robbed the delivery person of both cash and the food, according to a spokesman for the DuPage County state’s attorney.
Smith and Frye reportedly armed themselves with BB guns that looked like real handguns.
The spokesman said the men are suspects in three other similar robberies in northeastern DuPage County.
They were booked into police custody Tuesday, according to court records, and appeared in bond court today.
Bail for Smith was set at $150,000 and Frye was being held in lieu of $100,000 bond.
