Authorities: Parolee charged in slaying of woman at Whitehall Hotel

A parolee has been charged with first-degree murder in connection with last month’s fatal shooting of an alleged prostitute at a Gold Coast hotel, according to a spokeswoman for the Cook County state’s attorney’s office.
