Chicago firefighters found a body of a man inside a burning garage early Thursday morning, police said.
Police have opened a death investigation and detectives were called to the scene in the 2800 block of West 40th Street.
The fire was reported about 2:40 a.m., Chicago Police Department News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro said.
The man remained unidentified this evening though officials believe the man was in his 40s.
