A 21-year-old woman who went missing from an Austin neighborhood group home has been found safe, Chicago police said. No other details were available.
A mentally challenged 21-year-old woman went missing from an Austin neighborhood group home on the West Side Thursday and authorities are looking for her, police said.
Mona Tinder was last seen Thursday when she walked out of the home in the 4600 block of West Jackson Boulevard, according to a Community Alert issued by Area North detectives.
Tinder suffers from a diminished mental capacity and doesn't know her home address, the alert said.
Tinder is a white woman who is 6 feet 2 inches tall, weighs 200 pounds, and has hazel eyes and reddish brown hair, the alert said. She was last seen wearing a tan jacket, black sweat pants, according to the alert.
She is considered a high-risk missing and anyone with information is urged to contact police (312) 744-8200.
