Coach Dave Zimmerman has been around the Trinity tennis team for around five years and he says that this is the best team he seen in those years because of the potential the Knights show. The Knights have six returners from last season including seniors John Powell Kevin Dobyns and Ben Vigilius. The Knights also have two transfers that will help shore up the Knights top six this season. These are juniors Chase Prewett from Andover Central and Eric Alexander from Sterling.
Another difference is depth. As said there are eight players with tennis experience on this team and they all have skill.
This depth makes choosing the top six tricky, and especially tough to put doubles teams together. There are so many things that go into the creation of a good doubles team. Not only do the players have to be good, the players also have to play well to ether. If the players personalities and styles of play don't mesh then the doubles group won't work.
The Knights have a chance to do well this season, but only time will tell.
