WBBM-Ch. 2 general assignment reporter Suzanne Le Mignot on Feb. 19 sold her three-bedroom, 3,000-square-foot town house on the Near North Side for $990,000.
Le Mignot, 43, has been full time with CBS 2 since 1999 and previously worked for WBBM-AM radio.
Built in 1995, the town home has 2 1/2 baths, Brazilian maple floors and stairs, cherry moldings and trim, a two-person Jacuzzi and a separate shower in the master bath, a large deck, and an attached two-car garage.
Le Mignot first listed the town home in October for $1.1 million.
Le Mignot, who did not return calls for comment, paid $980,000 in 2005 for the town home.
"It's a fabulous town home in the middle of the Gold Coast," said listing agent Helena Mahler of Prudential Rubloff.
Richard Driehaus revealed as mansion buyer
Money manager and philanthropist Richard Driehaus paid $6.23 million for a six-bedroom, 8,400-square-foot Gold Coast mansion that sold in late December. In early January, Elite Street wrote about private equity executive Rodney Goldstein's late-December sale. At that time, the buyer had not been identified in public records.
Now, records show that Driehaus is behind the bank trust that bought the mansion. Goldstein first asked $7.95 million for the 14-room mansion.
Built in 1895, the mansion has seven baths, a paneled library, six fireplaces, a two-car garage, a kitchen and great room that lead to a landscaped terrace, and a lower level with an exercise room and a media room. About 40 windows in the mansion face the historic mansion occupied by Cardinal Francis George.
It is not known what Driehaus, who did not respond to repeated attempts for comment, plans to do with the mansion. He owns another historically significant mansion a little more than a block away.
Vaughn pulls penthouse off market
Actor Vince Vaughn has taken off the market his 12,000-square-foot triplex penthouse on Michigan Avenue. It recently had been listed for $16.75 million.
Vaughn, who paid $12 million for the five-bedroom penthouse in 2006, had informally asked $24.7 million for the 19-room unit in 2011. He listed it last year for $18.4 million before cutting its asking price in September to $16.75 million.
His listing agent, Susan Miner of Premier Relocation, did not respond to a request for comment.
