By year's end, Airhart Construction plans to break ground on the third phase of Courthouse Square, an 18-unit row home development in downtown Wheaton.
"The demand is certainly there," said Airhart President Court Airhart. "We've already sold two of the seven in phase three."
The two- and three-story, two- to five-bedroom units will include 2,000 to 3,200 square feet and have base prices from $468,000 to $659,000.
Standard features include 9-foot ceilings on all levels, second-floor laundry rooms and hardwood flooring in kitchens and foyers. Popular options are elevators, walk-in showers and additional garage bays.
Rooftop terraces, averaging 165 square feet, are optional but every buyer has chosen one so far, Airhart said.
First-floor great rooms with fireplaces open to kitchens with stone countertops and stainless steel appliances.
The Georgian style exteriors of the row homes blend with those in the first phases, with brick facades, driveways and patios.
Courthouse Square is within walking distance of a Metra train station and downtown restaurants.
The sales office, at 309 E. Liberty St., is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, or by appointment.
