SIDMAN — Meyersdale's varsity wrestling team improved to 9-1 with a 48-30 win over Forest Hills on Tuesday night.

"It's our best start in quite some time," Meyersdale coach Chadd Sines said.

Tyler Mayhugh, Ty Smith and Billy Dunbar led Meyersdale with pins. Seth Deist and Gavin Berkley won by decision. The Red Raiders also received four forfeits from the Rangers.

"Gavin Berkley wrestled his best match of the year there at the end, which capped off a good night for us," Sines said.

Meyersdale travels to Conemaugh Township on Thursday for a key Somerset County match.
