Tivador "Ted" Truszka, 80, of Rockwood, passed on May 7, 2012, at the In Touch Hospice House in Somerset. Born June 17, 1931, in Budapest, Hungary, he is the son of the late Tivador and Ilona (Blasin) Truszka. He is also preceded in death by his son Theodore Truszka; grandson Jesse Holmes; and brothers Ferenc and Lajos Truszka. Ted is survived by his wife of 56 years, Magdalena (Toth) Truszka; daughter Magdalena Shaffer and husband Chuck; sons William Truszka and wife Tina and Robert Truszka and wife Donna, all of Rockwood; 15 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Ted loved to create oil paintings, garden, dance, visit casinos and travel with his wife and family. He was a member of the Hungarian Social Club of McKeesport, the William Penn Association, the Hungarian Reformed Federation of America, and the Magyar Park in Middlecreek Township. He was a member of the VFW Post 554 in Somerset. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 10 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. Thursday at Miller Funeral Home and Crematory, Somerset.
