La Tienda, a Williamsburg area shop that imports gourmet products from Spain, is hosting a series of cooking classes and other events during October. Here’s the lineup:
Friday, Oct. 7.
Tapas Class, 2 to 4 p.m. Presented by chefs Carmen Nunez and Lourdes Bierce. $30. Reservations required.
Wine Tasting, 5 to 7 p.m. New Spanish Reds to sample. Free.
Tuesday, Oct. 11
Paella Class, noon to 2 p.m. Nunez and Lourdes Bierce demonstration traditional paella preparation. $45. Reservations required.
Saturday, Oct. 15
Meet the Musician. Reception for Spanish musician Tomas Lozano following his 4:30 p.m. concert at Ewell Recital Hall, College of William and Mary. Complimentary tapas and wine by the glass for purchase.

Wine & Tapas Tasting, 5 to 7 p.m. Free.

Queimada!, 5 to 7 p.m. Chefs will prepare a Galician brew in an outdoor ceremony that harkens back to the age of the Celts in Northwest Spain. $45.
