Peninsula District boys basketball
Menchville won 50-47 over previously unbeaten Kecoughtan behind an 11-point, 11-rebound game from Jermaine Brown.
Derrius Franklin sank four free throws in the final 30 seconds for the Monarchs.
Rakeem Brown's 25 points led Bethel to a 67-50 win at Woodside.
Denbigh beat Heritage 66-57 behind Paul Gostomski's 18 points.
Gloucester gained its first district victory, beating winless Warwick 60-50.
Bay Rivers boys
Darren Major's 20 points helped Smithfield edge Bruton 55-53, the Panthers' first loss. Marcus Carter scored 18 for Bruton.
Colton St. Cyr scored 16 to lead host Lafayette (8-4, 8-2 BRD) past New Kent 71-60 despite a game-high 21 points by Marvin Allen.
Joe Nelson's 18 points boosted host Tabb (8-5, 6-4 BRD) to a 73-50 win over Jamestown. Shaq Rodney added 17 points, and Rodney Smith led the Eagles with 13 points.
Kevin Barnes scored a game-high 17 points as host Grafton (9-1, 7-0) beat Poquoson 66-39 to take the Bay Rivers lead. Joey Miller added 14 points, and Dylan Hill led the Islanders with 14 points.
Devonte Dedmon's 29 points guided Warhill past York 59-52.

Hampton Roads Academy defeated Nansemond-Suffolk Academy 77-50 on 30 points by Jordan Gilliam. HRA opened the game with a 22-0 run, and Gilliam made eight 3-pointers.
Landon Allen recorded 24 points to lead host Fuqua past Tidewater Academy 60-47. Lamont Moore led the Warriors with 15 points.
Deron Powers' 22 points and eight assists helped Williamsburg Christian past Hampton Christian 71-38. ...
